Early indicators of children's visual issues include:

Myopia in children
Myopia is also know as short sightedness and can be corrected with glasses or contact lenses. iPads, mobile phones and computers are known to contribute to the onset of myopia .There are a few simple things that can be done to counteract this:
Outdoor play everyday
When working on a screen every 20 minutes look at something 20 metres away for 20 seconds
Place desk near a window
